We had a great time touring the fire hall.
There were around 10 other homeschoolers ranging from Kindergarten to 4th grade. Our Daughter had a great time seeing how a fire station works. We were able to sit in the fire truck and use the fire hose to put out a ( pretend ) fire.
The highlight for our Daughter was the fire chief dressing me up in all the fireman gear they wear. I have to admit it gave me a new appreciation for what they do, that gear is heavy and HOT.
The next excursion on the agenda with be the salmon hatchery on the 23rd where we get to tour the hatchery and then actually release some babies into the wild. We are really looking forward to this tour.
