What do you do when everyone in the house is sick ? You have a pajama party, watch TV and take care of each other. That's what has been going on here for the past week.
We ended up taking our Daughter to the emergency room last Tuesday because her fever spiked to 103.7. Spending 3 hours sitting in a waiting room is a real bonding experience and a definite chance to practice patience. In the end we were told that she had the flu and that she would be fine.
The only thing I really remember from the whole thing was when it was over and I gave my little one a hug and the Doctor said " Don't touch her, you'll get it too " my only response was " what I'm supposed to make her take care of herself ? " The Doctor grinned and realised that it really was a stupid thing to say to a Mother. Well, he was right, I got it !
Things are beginning to get back to normal but, we have a few more days of recuperation to go. My only question is this: Why didn't my Husband get it ?
