Signs of Spring

The signs of Spring are slow in coming. We are still having snow flurries from time to time. I can't wait for Spring to finally arrive.

There are other signs of Spring as well. Both our older children have moved from one place to another and are settling in. Our Son has pulled his Impala project out of storage and has started working on it again. My hubby is setting up his automotive projects for the Summer as well. He's decided that we need yet another 4X4 so we can have his and hers Broncos.

Spring for me means pulling out the rags and cleaners and cleaning up the house for the upcoming Summer. Our youngest loves to help out around the house and I gladly let her. She loves to do the windows.

It's been a hard Winter around here. We got more snow this Winter than years past. I hope we've seen the end of that kind of Winter. I like the mild BC winters that last a week and go away. This year we were all snowed in for over a month and if it hadn't been for the 4X4 my hubby put together we would have starved ! Being cooped up in the house together was a real bonding experience for us.

This Summer we are going to attempt to grow some of our own veggies and start and herb garden. Our family has decided suddenly to go healthy and that means cutting out 99% of the meat we've been eating, eating more veggies and fruit and trying to figure out what the heck to do with Tofu ! Wish me luck on that one. Next comes quitting smoking, Lord help us all !

So as I sit here dreaming of Spring I realize that the weather channel says more snow for us on the weekend. I do hope it goes away fast !
