Grade one

Well we have made it through grade one.
Grade one was a blast despite the troubles we had to start with. We went on several field trips and learned a great deal about animals and habitats. Reading, writing and mathematics continued to be the priority in our house.
This year our youngest began to learn to play the keyboard and has mastered twinkle twinkle little star like a pro. We as Parents admit that our experience is limited and that she will have to take lessons from a piano teacher next year. She'd, I'd like to try her hand at the violin !
Our youngest learned alot about the metric system this year helping her dad put together a Ford Bronco with his friends. She likes auto mechanics and says that maybe she'll do that when she grows up, I have told her she has lots of time to decide what she wants to be.
We did alot of cooking and baking this year too. We even made her first batch of cookies together and some banana bread. She likes cooking and has decided she might be a chef when she grows up.
This year she's going to become an Auntie for the first time too. She's been learning everything there is to know about taking care of babies so she can be the best Auntie on the planet.
