Trying Times Lately

It's been a test of strength and stamina lately.
Kevan has an injured shoulder and is going to therapy 3 times a week and loads of appointments to deal with.
I injured my back that put me out of commission for quite a while, I'm finally getting back into the groove again.
Hopefully things will start getting back to normal again but, then again what is normal in this family LOL

First LIVE Canucks Game

Chandler went to her first LIVE Vancouver Canucks game today. She was invited by Daniel and his family to go to the game and she had a blast. She got to meet some of the hockey players and even got an autograph from Mason Raymond. She brought home her program, ticket still in it's holder and the picture of Mason Raymond and a camera loaded with pictures. She was on cloud nine.

Days on the Farm

Our friend has a farm out in the country about a half hours drive from our house.
We have been going out there to visit about once every two weeks and its been a wonderful and educational experience for all.
Chandler has picked fresh fruit straight from the trees, hand fed both cows and horses and went to fresh vegetable stands and tasted food right off the farm.
We will miss our trips but as the weather changes the snow comes and the farm trips stop until Spring.
We will make a couple more trips before the snow hits though, you can bet on it.

First Time Ice Skating

Chandlers friend Daniel invited her to go ice skating for the first time.
The excitement in this household as she waited to be picked up was intense.
When she came home she talked all about it and showed us the various moves she attempted and the bruises that came with them.
They had a great time and I am positive they will be going again very soon.

Fall Round Up

Everyone had a great Fall Round Up this year, sunny and VERY hot.
Chandler went to a hockey practice to watch Daniel before the round up, had lunch and met me there.
It was all good. Tomorrow she begins Sunday School in a different room than Daniel, this could be a disaster, stay tuned.

The Inmates Return to the Asylum

All the public school Children return to school today.
 
What does our family have planned ?
We are taking a trip put to a friends  farm, going to do some shopping and make a HUGE amount of spaghetti sauce.

Birthdays Done

We have made it through another round of August birthdays and I once again survived. We are still going to have a party for Chandler with her Sister and some friends when they return from vacation but for the most part we did it and my baby is 10 !

Summer is quickly turning into a memory with Fall just around the corner.  We will begin our 9th year of Homeschooling next week. We have everything ready to go and are very ready to get back at it even though we never really stopped. It's hard to put a grade to things since we do so many different levels of work but it's technically 5th grade even though we have Homeschooled since birth.

Time to relax for the rest of the week.
